NOTE: The Business Energy Solutions (BES) program is only available to public K-12 schools.

Get customized recommendations for energy-saving improvements through SDG&E’s Business Energy Solutions Program. The program’s authorized contractor works with qualified public K-12 customers to find ways to save money on utility bills through energy-efficient upgrades. The program contractor audits the site, identifies available upgrades, and installs the new equipment.  Currently, all program upgrades are available at no-cost to the customer. Program offerings include tank and pipe insulation, faucet aerators, heat pump water heaters, and more.  Check out the Product Catalog for a complete list of available upgrades.

SDG&E has selected Synergy Companies to implement this program.

The BES program is currently available to public K-12 schools. Customers must also pay the Public Purpose Program (PPP) surcharge in order to be eligible.

Our program contractor offers flexible scheduling and strives to minimize disruptions. We would like to provide process and timing, but the factors vary in each situation (for example availability, number of measures to be inspected, building size, etc.).  Therefore, we will provide you with the key steps of the process:

Pre-Install

Our contractor will work with you to schedule a no-cost energy audit at a time that works best for you.  The duration of the no-cost energy checkup depends on several factors like size of the building and equipment to be inspected. Upon completion, our contractor will meet with you to discuss their findings and set up the next steps.

Installation

The process and timing for this depend on the number of agreed-upon upgrades and your availability. Our first priorities are safety and quality of work, but please know that our contractors aim to be as efficient as possible and minimize disruptions to your business.

Post Installation

Our contractor will conduct a post-installation walk-through to make sure that everything was completed to your satisfaction.
