These partnerships establish a permanent framework for a sustainable, long-term and comprehensive energy management program geared towards energy efficiency, sustainability and climate change reduction goals.

The mission of SDG&E’s Community Relations team is simple – to energize the communities we serve. Our giving approach focuses on three key areas, emergency preparedness and safety initiatives, environmental initiatives and civic leadership initiatives.

We are working with the Center City Development Corporation (CCDC) to develop the Centre City Lighting Master Plan. The plan will create specific exterior lighting criteria that emphasize energy efficiency, and the reduction of light pollution and glare. The criteria are intended to be developed as “model code,” which can be used in other urban areas within California. The plan will also be used during design review of new and existing buildings in the downtown Centre City Project Area.

The Statewide Energy Efficiency Collaborative (SEEC) provides support to cities and counties to help them reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save energy. SEEC is an alliance between three statewide non-profit organizations and California’s four Investor-Owned Utilities.
