Today, it's estimated that 40% of California's greenhouse gas emissions come from transportation. Electric vehicles (EVs) play an important role in transitioning to a cleaner environment and energy independence.

We are helping create a plug-in ready region to:

• Ensure the system that supplies electricity will continue providing safe, reliable power as a growing number of customers adopt of EVs – one of the highest of any region in the U.S.
• Help our EV customers receive the lowest cost electricity possible when charging their cars through time-of-use rates
• Support energy independence and reduce petroleum imports
• Assist CA in meeting its goals to reduce 13 million tons of greenhouse gasses by 2020 – most of which comes from transportation
