Help Paying Your Bill

If you are having difficulty paying your bill, call us at 1-800-411-SDGE (7343) before the expiration of the past due notice. We’ll work with you on payment arrangements to help you avoid service shut-offs, reconnection fees and deposits. If your notice has expired, call immediately to avoid service disconnection. Please DO NOT e-mail us for credit extension information.

There are also a number of programs that can provide funds through times of hardship:

  • The Neighbor-to-Neighbor Fund provides up to $200 towards your SDG&E® bill for customers experiencing temporary financial hardship, but who are not eligible for other state and federal assistance. Call 211 to find participating agencies.
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program is a federally funded assistance program administered by the California Department of Community Services and Development (CSD) that offers financial aid for SDG&E bills and home climate control. You may be eligible if you are a family with elderly or disabled members, children under the age of three or spend a high percentage of your income on energy. Call 211 to learn more.
