The holiday season brings beautiful decorations and imaginative use of holiday lights.
For those who enjoy having holiday lights on and around their homes, LED lighting can provide significant energy savings and increased safety this holiday season.
SDG&E is once again offering free LED holiday lighting in exchange for your old incandescent strands. At our holiday lighting events, you can:
LED holiday lights can save a lot of energy and money when compared to traditional incandescent holiday lights.
Benefits of LED holiday lights include:
Step 1: Find an event in your area.
Step 2: Check to see which types of lighting are available for exchange at your selected event. Details are available on the lighting exchange calendar.
- You may bring up to three incandescent holiday light strands.
- At select events, you may also exchange up to five incandescent light bulbs and/or two halogen lamps.
Step 3: Fill out an application.

- Present a valid California ID, and a copy of your SDG&E bill (for identification purposes only.)

This offer is based on a one-for-one exchange, while
supplies last. This program may be modified or terminated
without prior notice. Offer is limited to three incandescent
holiday light strands, five bulbs and two lamps per household
per year. SDG&E
