Single-Family Home Rebates
Improving your home’s energy efficiency can reduce your energy
use and save natural resources. To help, SDG&E offers rebates
for the purchase and installation of qualifying energy-efficient
measures. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis
until funds are spent.
Multi-Family Rebates
Rebates for qualified energy-efficient improvements in apartment
dwelling units and in the common areas of apartment and condominium
complexes, and common areas of mobile home parks.
Air Conditioner Tune-Ups
Save energy and money this summer with a check-up on your central air conditioner. Home cooling and heating can be 50% of your energy use. So make sure your system is running efficiently. Call 800-289-2440 to find a contractor in your area.
Summer Saver Program
Earn a credit on your utility bill and help reduce regional demand for electricity by cycling your central A/C unit “on and off” for a few hours on selected hot summer days. You choose your level of participation so you can find the cycling option that fits your life and comfort level.
Affordable Financing for Home Improvements
If you’re looking to make energy-efficient home improvements,
you may want to consider the “Energy Loan” from Fannie
Mae. This loan was developed to provide homeowners with an unsecured
financing option – from $2,500 to $20,000 – for specified
energy-efficient home improvements.
Residential Lighting Program
Your home’s lighting can account for as much as 20 percent of your
annual energy costs. To help cut down your energy use, consider
installing energy-efficient light bulbs and fixtures. Special discount
prices on specific ENERGY STAR® labeled lighting products
are periodically available at participating retailers throughout

Refrigerator-Freezer Recycling Program
This program will provide rebates to customers permanently removing operating, inefficient refrigerators, freezers and room air conditioners. For more information regarding this specific program, please contact

Clothes Washer Voucher Incentive Program
The San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) is offering a high-efficiency clothes washer voucher incentive program that provides a point-of-purchase discount of up to $175 off the cost of a new qualifying high-efficiency washer. Call 1-800-986-4538 for more information or visit SDCWA's Web site.

Earn Tax Credits
Need more incentive to replace that old insulation, furnace or water heater with more energy-efficient models? You can now get tax credits from the federal government in addition to rebates from SDG&E---up to $500 per home for certain energy-efficient improvements. In addition, some states offer rebates on the cost of purchasing energy-efficient units. For more information, visit the Tax Incentives Assistance Project (TIAP).
