Holiday Lighting Exchange

For those who enjoy having holiday lights on and around their homes, LED lighting can provide significant energy savings and increased safety this holiday season.

SDG&E is once again offering no-cost LED holiday lights in exchange for your old incandescent holiday light strands.

At our holiday lighting events, you can:

  • Exchange up to three incandescent holiday light strands* for energy-saving LED holiday light strands. Each strand is:
  • Fifteen feet (15’) and contains 50 bulbs
  • Designed for indoor/outdoor use
  • Multi-colored with yellow, red, orange, blue and green bulbs
  • Receive an eco-friendly reusable shopping bag.

    • Be sure to bring a valid California ID and/or a copy of your SDG&E bill (for identification purposes only).
    Participation Rules

    Please bring a valid California ID and/or a copy of your current SDG&E bill with you to the event. Lighting offer is limited to three incandescent holiday light strands per household per year.

    These programs may be modified or terminated without prior notice. SDG&E makes no representation as to the safety, reliability and/or efficiency of the lighting equipment or components.

    SDG&E makes no warranty either express or implied, including warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, use or application of the lighting equipment or components. This program is funded by California utility customers and administered by SDG&E, under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
