Electric and Fuel Procurement
To meet customer load under the terms set forth by Section 454.4 of the California Public Utilities Code, SDG&E will solicit purchases of wholesale electric energy, capacity, and other supply resources from generators and suppliers.
Find announcements of upcoming Requests for Offers (RFOs) and other information about SDG&E's power procurement.
The PRG meetings are not open to the public and are only open to members of the PRG.
The Standard Contracts for Purchase (Feed-in Tariffs) of eligible renewable generation offer both a full buy/sell option and an excess sale option to customers, which means SDG&E will purchase all of the electricity their facility generates, or they can choose to use some of the electricity for their own needs and SDG&E will purchase only the excess.
For those who wish to receive notification of our RFOs, please complete the SDG&E Solicitation - Request for Offer/Proposal Distribution List form.
SDG&E's pro forma Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) available to eligible QFs of 20 megawatts (MWs) or less seeking to sell electricity to SDG&E under the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA).
