Whole Home Program
A No-Cost Energy Efficiency program available to select eligible customers
Ready for new, more efficient appliances and more comfortable home? Qualified homeowners and renters may receive energy-saving upgrades valued at up to $25,000 at zero cost. The Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) Whole Home Pilot is only available to 250 customers based on household income, energy savings and customer zip code.
What's Offered
You may receive these upgrades at no cost if you meet eligibility requirements. The program covers all equipment and installation costs.
- New, energy-efficient appliances, including refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, and clothes washer.
- Heating and cooling system upgrades, such as furnace repair or replacement, heat pump, central A/C, room A/C replacement, installation of an evaporative cooler or portable A/C and repair or replace duct work and duct sealing.
- Improved building insulation, including adding attic, floor, and wall insulation, weatherstripping, and caulking.
- Double pane windows
- Hot water heater upgrade
- High-performance cool roof
- LED lighting

Home Assessment
A MAROMA Energy Services team member will conduct an energy assessment of your home post-qualification.

Service Delivery
The MAROMA Energy Services team will assist you in scheduling authorized licensed contractors to perform he eligible upgrades.

Inspection
MAROMA will inspect your home after installation to ensure your satisfaction and that installed equipment and services are functioning correctly.
How to Qualify
To be eligible for the ESA Whole Home program, you must meet these qualifications:
- Be an active SDG&E residential customer with an individually metered account
- Be a homeowner or renter living in a mobile or single-family home
- Meet income eligibility guidelines
- Live in a qualifying zip code
- Account must have 12 consecutive months of historical energy data
- Meet appliance replacement/installation requirements for each service
*If you do not meet all the above requirements, you may be referred to the Energy Savings Assistance program.

You can also qualify if you meet the income guideline qualifications listed in the chart in Option 2.
Your home must meet service-specific eligibility criteria for each service you receive.

Renters and Landlords
Both renters and homeowners are encouraged to participate in the ESA Whole Home program. The property owner must fill out an authorization form before any work can begin for renters.
