What is a WDAT Interconnection?
WDAT applies to all generating/storage facilities interconnecting to SDG&E’s Distribution System and selling at wholesale to the California Marketplace.
For interconnections of generating/storage facilities interconnecting to SDG&E’s Distribution System and selling only to SDG&E under Rule 21, refer to the Rule 21 .

WDAT Tariff Notices
SDG&E submitted its FERC Order No. 2023 Compliance Filing on August 14, 2024 with a requested effective date of August 15, 2024. Accordingly, as of August 15, 2024, interconnection requests applying for the Independent Study Process (ISP) will no longer be accepted. The ISP was eliminated in the compliance filing. Study tracks still available include the Fast Track and Cluster Study Process.
WDAT Cluster Application Window Notices
As a result of the CAISO and SDG&E compliance filings for FERC Order No. 2023, (which filings are pending approval at FERC) the next proposed available cluster application window for interconnection requests to the WDAT Cluster Study Process will be October 1 - October 15, 2026. SDG&E will update this notice when the new information is available.
