How to Enable Third Party Cookies

Select your browser from the list below. Other browsers like Safari and EDGE may work but aren’t supported by Aclara Technologies so some or none of the features may work.

Enable Third Party Cookies

  1. At the top right of your browser, CLICK the three vertical dots (kabob) icon and SELECT "Settings" from the menu. 

  2. From the Settings page, SELECT “Privacy and security" and then SELECT “Site Settings”.

  3. Under Permissions, CLICK “Cookies and site data”.

  4. Under Block third-party cookies, CLICK the toggle to Blue. This will allow third-party cookies.

  5. When you are done, SWITCH the toggle back to white.

Change Chrome Flags

In some  cases, as with Chrome80, you may also need to change your settings for “chrome://flags”.

  1. OPEN a new browser tab and ENTER “chrome://flags” in the address bar to go to Google’s Experiments page.

  2. In the Search flags search field, ENTER “SameSite by default cookies”.
    Two options will display: 1) SameSite by default cookies and 2) Cookies without SameSite must be secure. 

    • For both options, SELECT "Disabled" from the dropdown.

    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and CLICK the blue "Relaunch" button.

  3. To reset the flags, repeat the instructions above but SELECT “Default” for both flags.

  1. At the top right of your browser, SELECT the gear icon to access the Internet Options menu.
  2. Under Settings, CLICK the “Advanced” button
  3. For First-party cookies and Third-party cookies, SELECT Accept. If you’d like more control, Select Prompt to ask you each time.
  4. CLICK OK to exit

 

  1. At the top right of your browser, CLICK the stacked horizontal lines (hamburger) menu and then SELECT “Options”.
  2. SELECT “Privacy & Security.”
  3. Under Enhanced Tracking Protection, SELECT “Standard”.
  4. To reset your settings, CHANGE the option back to “Strict”.
