Local Government Partnerships

Program Partners

We work with local governments and non-profit organizations to promote energy efficiency, and demand response and conservation programs, services and resources; and provide energy education and outreach to our communities.

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Outreach Program ("ECO Program") is being offered by SDG&E and the City of Chula Vista.

The ECO Program aims to enable the City, its residents, developers, and South Bay cities to implement energy efficiency and conservation measures by overcoming existing barriers through education, outreach and incentives.

We are working with the Center City Development Corporation (CCDC) to develop the Centre City Lighting Master Plan. The plan will create specific exterior lighting criteria that emphasize energy efficiency, and the reduction of light pollution and glare. The criteria are intended to be developed as “model code,” which can be used in other urban areas within California. The plan will also be used during design review of new and existing buildings in the downtown Centre City Project Area.
