Incentive Program
Previously, customers who lived in a high-heat climate zone were eligible for a $25 incentive when they purchased a smart thermostat and signed up for the AC Saver Thermostat Program.
The Smart Communicating Thermostat Incentive Program is now closed. In compliance with a California Public Utilities Commission decision issued on December 20, 2023, the program officially closed on December 31, 2023.

About the Incentive
The Smart Communicating Thermostat (SCT) incentive was previously available to residential customers who live in an area designated as a high-heat climate zone. The incentive enabled qualifying customers to receive a $25 incentive toward the cost of a previously purchased and approved smart thermostat.
The SCT incentive was designed to help customers reduce their energy use in high-heat climate zones. Once qualifying customers successfully enrolled in SDG&E’s AC Saver Thermostat Program, they could receive a $25 incentive toward a previously purchased smart thermostat.
