Non-Residential Behavioral Solicitation

As part of San Diego Gas & Electric’s  (SDG&E) Third-Party Energy Efficiency outsourcing activities, we are requesting bidder proposals (“Abstracts”) for the Non-Residential Behavioral program. This is the first stage (Request for Abstract) of the solicitation process, which will be followed by a second stage (Request for Proposal) for those Bidders advancing to the next round.

The purpose of this program is to increase customer awareness of their energy use and motivate them to take actions, which can include usage-based or equipment-based changes in behaviors, as well as increased participation in existing and future energy efficiency or demand response programs. 

This program seeks to leverage comparative energy use reports delivered to non-residential customers by U.S. Mail, email, web portal or any combination of the three channels to achieve greater customer awareness and energy savings. This program will also be leveraged to deliver energy efficiency and demand response program offers to the participating customers

Bidder Abstracts are due by November 23, 2022 5:00 PM PST. See below instructions for where to submit bids and obtain relevant information.

In order to participate in this event, Bidders need to register in Power Advocate using the following URL: https://www.poweradvocate.com. Once registered, follow the steps below to participate in the #136517:  Non-Residential Behavioral Program event:

  • Apply to the event through the “Opportunities” portal

  • Click the key symbol (🔑)  to request access to the event

Potential partnering

SDG&E offers the opportunity for Bidders to list their information on a contact list for potential partnering with other bidders. This option is only available during the RFA stage. If interested, bidders must complete and submit the “Non-Residential Behavioral  Program RFA – Interested Organizations Form” linked here. This form will remain open until November 23, 2022.
