SDG&E Text Messages and Alerts Help

SDG&E offers our customers the option to sign up for text messages and alerts to stay up to date on their account. Text messages are a convenient way to learn more about programs, or to stay up to date on your energy usage, billing or account.

SDG&E offers text notifications at no cost however, standard text messaging and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier to confirm your text messaging rates.

Managing Your Text Notifications and Alerts

You can manage your preferences for text notifications and alerts from SDG&E using My Account or the mobile app.

You may also opt out of receiving text messages and alerts via text message by responding STOP.

Manage text preferences with My Account

  1. Log into Notification Settings 
  2. Select the notification type.
  3. View or update your text preferences.
  4. Click Save.

Manage text preferences with the SDG&E mobile app

Log into the mobile app:

  1. On the Home screen, tap More in the navigation at the bottom of the screen.
  2. On the next screen, tap Notifications & Alerts.
  3. Tap the notification type. 
  4. View or update your text preferences.
