2. Pick Your System

   Once you optimize, it’ll be easier to determine which type and size of system is best for your home. You can use our solar calculator in MyAccount to find out what size system you need, and whether a renewable system is a cost-effective option for you.

3. Hire a Contractor

   Now you’ll need to find a qualified contractor. It’s important to understand what to look for. An experienced installer will also often help guide you through the paperwork and process, and get you interconnected to the grid.

4. Install & Connect

    

   Your contractor can often take care of your permits and applications, work with us to get your Net Energy Meter installed, and get your “Permission to Operate” (PTO) so you’ll start earning bill credits for any surplus energy your generate.
