Consent to Share (CtS) Process for LOAs
Consent to Share (CtS) is SDG&E's centralized hub application system where we can validate, process, store and track all Letters of Authorization (LOAs) including Standard Forms and Non-Standard (non-SDG&E) forms. The CtS hub allows you to see your submitted LOAs on the dashboard. The CtS application also allows you to see the status of your LOAs, revoke LOAs, update LOAs, and create and submit new LOAs.
Overview: Electronic Submission
-
Initiator completes an electronic LOA using the Start button.
Customer information is added. Initiator uploads the service account number template (if needed) – then link to this Excel sheet on the Forms page. The initiator can be a Customer or a Third Party.
-
Initiator submits electronic LOA and is emailed to the recipient for signature.
-
Recipient receives a link to the LOA via email, completes their information and provides electronic signature.
-
Completed LOA is sent to SDG&E Representative for validation and processing.
- LOA becomes active and email notifications are sent to Customer and Third Party.
Overview: Paper Submission
-
Customer and Third Party collaborate to complete and sign paper LOA.
-
LOA is uploaded to CtS with its supporting documents (and service account number template, if needed).
-
Paper form is routed to optical character generation software. If errors are found, form will be sent for manual validation.
-
If no errors are found, LOA is routed to SDG&E Representative for validation and processing.
- LOA becomes active.
