Chief Executive Officer, San Diego Gas & Electric
Caroline Winn is chief executive officer of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. SDG&E serves 3.7 million customers in San Diego and southern Orange counties. She is widely recognized for the company’s national leadership in sustainability, technology and innovation, including the company’s transformative safety and wildfire mitigation efforts. Winn became CEO of SDG&E in August 2020. Previously, she served as chief operating officer of SDG&E, overseeing operations of the utility’s gas and electric infrastructure assets, and customer services. Since joining the company as an associate engineer, Winn has held several leadership positions with SDG&E and Southern California Gas (SoCalGas).

Bruce Folkmann is special projects officer at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. Other positions he’s held at SDG&E include president and chief financial officer, and senior vice president and controller. Since joining the Sempra family of companies in 2005, Folkmann has held positions of increasing responsibility, primarily in the accounting and finance organizations. His responsibilities have included accounting, financial planning and treasury, regulatory accounts, business innovation, energy supply and asset management.
Chief Operating Officer and Chief Safety Officer
Kevin Geraghty is chief operating officer and chief safety officer of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He is responsible for the safe and reliable engineering, construction, emergency operations, supply chain, customer service, operations and maintenance of the company’s resources. Geraghty has been in the gas and electric utility business for more than 35 years. He is a board member of the San Diego Habitat for Humanity, The Building Industry Association of San Diego and the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies.
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Controller and Chief Accounting Officer
Valerie Bille is senior vice president, chief financial officer and controller for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. She is responsible for the accounting, financial planning and regulatory accounts functions. Bille is a certified public accountant. Since joining the Sempra family of companies in 2014, Bille has held positions of increasing responsibility, primarily in the accounting and finance organizations. Previously, Bille was the assistant controller for Sempra.
President, San Diego Gas & Electric
Scott B. Crider is president of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He leads corporate functions focused on advancing the company’s efforts in providing clean, safe and reliable energy. Crider joined the Sempra family of companies in 2002, holding several leadership roles over the years including chief customer officer, senior vice president of external affairs and operations support and vice president of federal affairs. He also served in electric pricing and forecasting, supply management, supplier diversity, logistics, fleet, real estate, land services and facilities.
Vice President, Wildfire and Climate Science
Brian D’Agostino is vice president of wildfire and climate science at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He is responsible for emergency management, wildfire mitigation, situational awareness, weather forecasting and climate adaptation initiatives. D’Agostino joined SDG&E in 2009 and oversaw the development of SDG&E’s meteorology program, one of the nation’s most sophisticated forecasting teams.

Erbin Keith is general counsel at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. Keith has held various positions with the Sempra family of companies since 1994. Positions held include general counsel for various Sempra operating companies and deputy general counsel, chief regulatory officer, chief risk and compliance officer and senior vice president of external affairs.

Dana Golan is chief customer officer at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. She oversees all customer-related activities including customer services, digital channel management and strategy, field and meter operations, customer programs, business services and revenue cycle activities. Since joining the Sempra family of companies in 2004, Golan has held numerous leadership positions in customer pricing, marketing, education and outreach, investor relations and executive project management.

Ben Gordon is senior vice president, chief information officer and chief digital officer at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He oversees information and digital technologies, including cybersecurity and big data analytics. Gordon previously served as vice president, technology operations and infrastructure management.
Vice President, Electric Operations
John Jenkins is vice president of electric operations at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and operation of the electric grid, including distribution, transmission, and substation infrastructure. Previously, Jenkins was vice president of electric engineering and construction, overseeing all engineering functions. He is a Board Member of the American Red Cross chapter for San Diego/Imperial Counties.
Vice President, Operations Support
Jennifer Jett is vice president of operations support at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. She oversees supply management, supplier diversity, materials and logistics, fleet, facilities, real estate and tribal relations. Over the past 20 years, Jett has held various legal, financial and operational positions of increasing responsibility within the Sempra family of companies.
Regional Vice President, External Relations
Kent Kauss is regional vice president of external relations at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. Before joining SDG&E, Kauss was a senior director and chief lobbyist, where he led the state government relations function, including the development and strategy of legislative policy. Kauss sits on the boards of the VetFund Foundation, CalAsian Chamber of Commerce, CA Business Properties Association, CA Retailers Association and CA Building Industry.
Vice President, Land and Environmental Services, Chief Sustainability Officer
Estela de Llanos is vice president of land and environmental services and chief sustainability officer at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. She is responsible for SDG&E’s sustainability strategy, land services, environmental services and San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station decommissioning. Previously, de Llanos led SDG&E’s electric and fuel procurement and electric vehicle, hydrogen, energy storage and other advanced clean technology initiatives. She has over 25 years of experience in energy, environmental policy and compliance, project development and non-profit board service.

Eugene "Mitch" Mitchell is senior vice president, chief legislative officer of San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and the Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He oversees state legislative activities and helps advance the California utilities' strategic policy objectives. Mitchell has held various senior executive roles, including Sempra's senior vice president, diversity, and community partnerships where he advanced the company's high-performance culture by leading a collective effort to enhance diversity and inclusion within Sempra, its operating companies and in the communities it serves. He also served as vice president of state governmental and external affairs for SDG&E and SoCalGas.

Janette Piankoff is vice president of people and culture at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. She develops and manages human resource strategies, employee inclusion programs, organizational effectiveness, labor relations and talent acquisition. Piankoff previously set strategy and priorities in support of overall business objectives surrounding leadership assessment and development, organization design and employee learning and development.
Vice President of Energy Procurement and Rates
Adam Pierce is vice president of energy procurement and rates at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He is responsible for electric and fuel procurement, electric pricing, and electric forecasting. Since joining the Sempra family of companies in 2012, he has held various roles, supporting mergers and acquisitions, business development, and investor relations. Pierce most recently served as SDG&E’s director of customer pricing. He also serves on the advisory board for San Diego State University's Fowler College of Business School of Management.
Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer
Miguel Romero is senior vice president and chief commercial officer at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He oversees commercial growth initiatives and clean energy strategies. Romero joined the Sempra family of companies in 2004 and has held various roles, including vice president of energy innovation and vice president of energy supply. He serves on the boards of Veloz and Clean Tech San Diego.
Senior Vice President, Chief Transformation Officer
Michael M. Schneider is senior vice president and chief transformation officer at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He leads the company through significant change, addressing affordability, strategic growth and technology deployment. Schneider joined SDG&E in 1992 and has held roles in customer service, regulatory, operations, environmental and finance.
Senior Vice President, Gas Operations and Construction
Rodger R. Schwecke is Senior Vice President and Chief Infrastructure Officer for San Diego Gas & Electric and Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), Sempra's regulated California utilities. He oversees gas distribution, transmission and storage system operations, as well as construction and execution of capital programs to enhance the safety and reliability of the gas system.
Since joining SoCalGas in 1983, Schwecke has held a variety of increasingly responsible management positions in business development, operations, marketing, engineering and project management. From 2012 to 2016, he served as vice president, customer solutions for SoCalGas and was responsible for customer programs, customer communications and eServices, account executives and the development of new emerging technologies, including clean transportation, distributed energy, in-home services and biofuels.
From 2010 to 2012, Schwecke was director of storage and managed the underground storage field operations that support the daily and seasonal operational flexibility of the gas transmission and distribution system. From 2007 to 2010, he was director of energy markets and capacity products and led the development, marketing and capacity planning for products and services using existing pipeline and storage assets. He also developed regulatory cases and explored the expansion of these assets.
Schwecke serves on the board of directors for the California Science Center. He is also a member of the University of California, Irvine Chief Executive Roundtable. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
Regional Vice President, Regulatory Affairs
Shivani Sidhar is regional vice president, regulatory affairs for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and the Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), Sempra's regulated California utilities. Sidhar oversees the company’s San Francisco office and serves as a primary point of contact with the California Public Utilities Commission on behalf of SDG&E and SoCalGas in connection with all regulatory matters. Previously, Shivani worked for SDG&E in various legal and regulatory management roles. She has worked at Uber Technologies, and the California Public Utilities Commission.
Senior Vice President and Chief Regulatory Officer
Dan Skopec is senior vice president and chief regulatory officer for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and the Southern California Gas Company, Sempra's regulated California utilities. He is responsible for the company’s engagement with the California Public Utilities Commission and the strategic planning organization. Skopec joined SDG&E and SoCalGas in 2008 as vice president, regulatory affairs after serving as undersecretary at the California Environmental Protection Agency, deputy cabinet secretary under California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and as a legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Vice President, Electric Engineering and Construction
Will Speer is vice president of electric engineering and construction at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. He is responsible for the long-term planning of the transmission and distribution system, engineering, management of major projects, construction and vegetation management services, and distribution project management. Speer is a licensed professional engineer. He joined SDG&E in 1999 and has held numerous engineering and management positions.
Vice President, External Affairs and Communications
Brittany Applestein Syz is vice president of external affairs and communications at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. She leads public affairs, community relations, marketing and communications efforts. Previously, Syz held leadership roles overseeing environmental services, sustainability, and clean transportation at SDG&E. Prior to that, she was a lawyer for the company. She is a board member for Casa Cornelia Law Center and the San Diego International Airport Advisory Committee and sits on a committee of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce.
Vice President, Gas Operations
Tashonda Taylor is vice president of gas operations at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), one of Sempra’s regulated California utilities. She oversees all gas distribution and transmission operations as well as execution and construction of capital programs to enhance the safety, reliability, and integrity of the gas pipeline system. Taylor began her career with SDG&E over 25 years ago as an electrical engineer. She currently serves as a board member of the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank and is a lifetime member of the National Society of Black Engineers.
